Start Here: Scaling With Systems Onboarding Guide

This guide is meant to be the fastest way to get you integrated with the rest of the team and in your zone of genius.

Please go through each of these in order, take notes, and be thorough. If there are instructions, please take care of them immediately, don't wait until you're done with the entire guide.

Everything we've added here is important and your competency in these will determine your success in this position.

This should take no longer than 48 hours.

Once you've completed all of the steps you'll introduce yourself in our #general Slack channel and that will let your department head know to reach out and start your department-specific onboarding process.

1. Accept your Google Workspace invite

5. Review two company recordings to get you up to speed:

     • This is not a meeting, but rather a loom video update, where the CEO, Ravi Abuvala, updates the company on where we're at, and where we're going, answers any questions, and introduces new team members.

     • This is a meeting where each department has one member present what they are doing, recognize team members, make some jokes, and brag about how great they are.

6. Download these tools to make your life easier:
   • Loom
     • This is a Chrome extension that enables you to create easily sharable screen recordings that make communication with team members and clients very simple.
     • Learn Loom's best practices here
   • Grammarly
     • This is a Chrome extension that checks your spelling and grammar as you type to prevent any mistakes and increase your effectiveness when communicating.
   • Video Speed Controller
     • This is a Chrome extension that enables you to speed up any video online to any speed you'd like, allowing you to consume content at 3x-4x speeds.
   • GoFullPage
     • This is a Chrome extension that easily allows you to take a screenshot of an entire webpage of content, no matter the length.
   • LiceCap
     • This is a downloadable software that can create instant GIFs from your computer, incredibly helpful for showing team members and clients something too short for a loom.
   • Chat GPT
     • This is an artificial intelligence software that allows you to ask it anything and get back an answer, we've written job posts, sales letters, poems, and many more things from it.
7. Introduce yourself in our #general channel so we know you've made it this far and your department head will reach out with specific next steps!
   • Please make sure you've read and fully understood the above before making your welcome post, then once you do expect a message within 24 hours from your department head!
